Life Training Academy Financial Fitness Coach, Former Collegiate Student-Athlete, and Co-Owner of TrueWealth and Financial Planner

CAREY YUKICH

Carey Yukich serves as the Financial Fitness Coach for Life Training Academy, helping athletes develop the knowledge, habits, and confidence to make intentional financial decisions in sport and throughout their lives.

A former collegiate volleyball student-athlete who earned a full athletic scholarship to Northwestern University, Carey understands that athletes spend years training for competitive performance while often receiving far less training for the financial decisions and responsibilities that come with adulthood. Through Life Training Academy, she brings more than 20 years of financial-industry experience to helping athletes strengthen their Financial Fitness through LTA’s E.S.S.I. Training System — Earn. Save. Spend. Invest.

Carey and her husband, John, co-founded TrueWealth Advising Group, where Carey provides comprehensive financial planning and guidance and works collaboratively with clients and their other trusted professional advisors. Her approach emphasizes clear goals, financial discipline, education, and helping people make informed decisions about their financial futures.

Personally, Carey believes Financial Fitness begins with understanding what matters to you and learning how to make intentional choices that support the life you want to create. Her experiences as a student-athlete, entrepreneur, financial professional, wife, author, and community leader have reinforced the importance of discipline, preparation, resilience, and continuing to persevere when life presents challenges. She is committed to living those principles herself while helping others develop the confidence to take ownership of their financial lives.

Professionally, Carey is passionate about helping athletes become financially educated, confident, and INTENT10NAL. As Life Training Academy’s Financial Fitness Coach, she brings her professional expertise into LTA’s E.S.S.I. Training System:

E — EARN. Understand your income, opportunities, compensation, and the responsibilities that come with earning money.

S — SAVE. Learn to pay yourself first, prepare for future needs, and develop the discipline to keep some of what you earn.

S — SPEND. Make intentional choices about where your money goes and learn the difference between what you can afford and what supports your financial goals.

I — INVEST. Understand how money can work for your future and why starting early, asking informed questions, and understanding risk matter.

Carey helps athletes learn how to think about money by asking better questions, understanding their options, building healthy financial habits, and making informed decisions that support the life they want to create. These skills are especially important for today’s student-athletes, as scholarships, NIL, and entrepreneurship introduce financial decisions earlier in life. For Carey, Financial Fitness is another form of training. Athletes train their bodies and minds through repetition, coaching, discipline, and practice.

Philanthropically, Carey is committed to Live It 2 Give It. Her service through community leadership and education reflects her belief that knowledge and experience become more valuable when shared with others. She is passionate about giving the next generation access to financial education earlier so young people can make informed choices, create stronger financial futures, and eventually use their success to G.I.V.E.H.O.P.E.

Carey’s life and work reflect the Life Training Academy 3D Model:

PERSONALLY — BE ME.
Know what matters to you and make financial choices that support the life you want to live.

PROFESSIONALLY — BUILD WE.
Train your Financial Fitness through E.S.S.I. System — Earn. Save. Spend. Invest. and use knowledge, discipline, and informed decision-making to build your future.

PHILANTHROPICALLY — G.I.V.E. H.O.P.E.
Live It 2 Give It by sharing knowledge, creating opportunity, and using financial success to help other people excel.

Carey brings the perspective of a former scholarship student-athlete, financial professional, entrepreneur, author, and Financial Fitness Coach to the Life Training Academy mission of training people to win their lives as intentionally as they train to win in sport.
